The Asia Carbon Group of companies is headquartered in The Netherlands and is Styled, Asia Carbon International B.V. Its subsidiaries include Asia Carbon Capital Sdn. Bhd, Malaysia, Asia Carbon Pte Ltd, Singapore, The Asia Carbon Fund™ and The Asia Carbon Exchange™.

Asia Carbon was founded in February 2003. Its primary objective is to mitigate global climate change and initiate sustainable development through the application of the Kyoto Protocol financial mechanisms in particular the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Activities Implemented Jointly (AIJ), or more commonly known as Joint Implementation (JI) and finally, Emissions Trading.
